DO NOT SOLDER OR MAKE ANY CONNECTIONS TO ANY OF THE 6 SMALLER PINS ON THE PUSH PULL POTS. BLACK AND WHITE SWITCH LEADS SOLDER TO THE LOWER CENTER LUG OF VOLUME POTS.
I am currently wiring up new 50's style 21 Tone Jimmy Page harness that retains the highs much better when you roll your volumes down than the original rigs I was building years ago. You should have gotten directions for the installation via email or with your new rig. Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions and I would be more than happy to walk you through it.

Thanks, jonesy

You will need the following tools to be able to install your new wiring properly.

1. pencil style soldering 23-40 watts, I prefer a chisel tip
2. rosin core solder .062" 60/40
3. wire cutters
4. needle nose pliers
5. tape or shrink tube
6. 1/2" nut driver or pliers
7. exacto knife or sandpaper

*epiphones and other import guitars that originally had metric sized pots, will need to have the holes in body enlargedto 3/8" for new larger US sized pots to fit properly. You can use a T handle reamer, rolled up 100 Grit sandpaper to do this, be careful not to chip or scratch your top.

1.  Look at your Jimmy Page wiring harness and make sure you know where the volume and tone controls are located and that  it is mounted correctly in your guitar. BV=bridge volume BT=bridge Tone NV=neck volume and NT=neck Tone

2. The "pigtails" are the 3 colored wires (red (no white), black, green) on each side of the JP rig, that you will connect your pu wires to. I have done all the mods and added these wires on for you to make it easier for you to connect your pu wires to. They are still color coded for Seymour Duncan pickups

3. * Look at the color code chart provided at the link below and match up your brand of wiring to match the JP wiring.  My 21 Jimmy Page Wiring is all colored coded for Seymour Duncan pu's.

*Click here for Humbucker Color Code Chart

Example: Seymour Duncan color codes to DiMarzio color codes

JP Harness (pigtails)       DiMarzio
-----------------------------
Black =   +                Red +
(White) = none          Black> join
Red = series link        White> join
Green =    -              Green
-

JP harness pigtails     Gibson leads
-------------------------------
Black  +                   Red +
(White)  none           White> join
Red                       Green> join
Green  -                 Black -
Bare pickups wires are ground (not signal) and should be attached to the green ground wire on the back on NV

Note Series Links are tied together on all brands of pickups.

On Seymour Duncan pu's the red & white wires get tied together, On Dimarzio black & white are tied together and on Gibson white & green  wires get tied together. The Series link goes to the red pigtail on the Jimmy Page rig regardless of pickup brand.

Use the color code chart to find the correct color codes for other brands of pickups.

4. If you have an extra bare wire from each pickup that is a ground wire and goes to the back and solders to the case of each volume pot, BV & NV

SWITCH WIRE CONNECTIONS

1. Green Ground wire from switch goes to the Green earth wire attached to the back of NV

2. Red Hot lead from switch goes to hot + lug/tip on input jack. (ground from input is already soldered to case of BT)

3. Black wire from switch solders to lower center lug on BV and the other black wire from the switch solders to lower center lug on NV. (wires will be marked BV & NV)
DO NOT Solder to any of the 6 small pins on push pull pots.
4. Ground wire (bare) from inside cavity that comes from tail piece studs solders to the back of the NV case (neck volume)
